Remembering a Relative Who Died at the Battle of Gettysburg

Last week was Memorial Day, a time for Americans to remember people who sacrificed their lives in battle for this country. I have a relative who did this. His name was Reuben A. Howerter, and last week I submitted a letter to the Reading Eagle, a local newspaper, about Reuben and his death at the Battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War.
