Lunch at Casa Del Mofongo

Casa Del Mofongo  is a restaurant serving traditional Puerto Rican and Dominican food in Central Allentown, PA.  When I was there, I had plain Mofongo.  Mofongo is a Puerto Rican dish made of mashed fried green plantains.  It is somewhat similar to mashed potatoes, but it has a chunkier texture.  It is often served with different types of meat, but I chose to have it only with a red gravy sauce and a side salad.  I also enjoyed a glass of passion fruit juice with the meal.  I found the dish and the overall experience very enjoyable.
